Well life is good. Mom has been working every day except every other Friday when she has treatments. Ken has scheduled their vacation to one of the islands. Mom came over one day this week and showed me the resort they will be staying in and it is beautiful. I am so happy for both of them.
The treatments of the Erbitux have been more difficult physically than we expected but mom is doing so well with it. She told us this week that her hair is growing back and longer that Todd's-haha. She told me Monday that her hair is coming in with a lot more grey than before. Mom only had a few greys in her temple area so it will be interesting. I think we will all miss her spunky do but maybe she will style it in a similar way.
Haidyn is absolutely the highlight of every day for mom, who am I kidding me too:). We've had a rough month for her day care situation and we all have been praying like crazy for someone that can fill the summer till haidyn starts school in august. While I was in California last week, GiGi was "on call". Besides the lack of socks most days, the christmas shirt on Thursday and lotion in her hair because her head looked dry, everyone was healthy and happy when I got home. Her new jabber, following you from room to room crawling and pulling up on anyone and everything have made for countless stories and laughs. Thank God for our little suprise that came in perfect timing to distract, encourage and love us through the last 7 months.
We can't thank everyone enough for all the prayers. Please don't stop. We are still begging God for cancer free but Josh said something that really hit home in one of his recent sermons. He told of a cancer patient that admitted his prayers were not cancer free because he feared the close walk with the Lord would grow distant. Since mom's diagnosis we have been tested emotionally and spiritually. Although we continue to pray for her to be cancer free I am also praying that we will continue to stay in an intimate prayer life and live closer to God through the journey. It will only be a few more weeks till mom has her first CT scan since ending Chemo treatments so we are prayerful that the tumors are continuing to shrink and mom's white count is back up.
Thank you, thank you for the prayers- God has been so good!

Thank you again, Emily, for the new report on Joan. I have been concerned but sometimes no news is good news. We continue to pray for all your family and for complete healing. God bless us all as we strive to be close to Him.

I haven't sent a note in awhile and just wanted to tell you I love you! Thanks for the updates. It makes me feel closer to all of you, especially seeing the pictures. I can certainly see why Haidyn brings joy to everyone. God is so good to provide such an incredible blessing in the midst of great challenges. Hugs to everyone! Give your mom a big, fat kiss for me.
